Fall – Winter Deadline Information
During the school year, applications are reviewed on a rolling basis; please allow at least 2 weeks for feedback. Applications are not reviewed over break, so please have your application in by Friday of week 8 to make sure you can get approval before the end of the current quarter.
Summer & Summer SIP Research Deadline Information
If you are applying for approval of a SIP project that begins in summer, please have your application in by Friday of week 7 to make sure you can get approval before the end of the spring quarter.
IRB applications for SIP projects should be closely developed with the SIP advisor; students should consult with their advisors on appropriate research methods. Applications that are incomplete or lack a full consideration of research methods may be returned to the student and might not receive IRB approval.
Summer Deadline Information for Faculty
If you are faculty looking for IRB approval over summer break, the committee will review applications once. To ensure IRB review of a project, the deadline for applications is July 1st. Applications received by this day can expect approval or revise-and-resubmit by July 15.
